Ayurveda focuses on rejuvenation, prevention and purification for maintaining health and longevity.
An Ayurvedic Consultation consists of the following:
Pulse diagnosis - Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis one of the key diagnostic tools in Ayurveda. It is a unique and noninvasive diagnostic method by which the Ayurvedic practitioner can gain information about the physical constitution and health of their client. This information is used to form the basis for a sensitive and personalized therapy in accordance with Ayurvedic principles of treatment. This precise Ayurvedic method can recognize the disease process before symptoms are overtly visible. Through the use of pulse diagnosis, the Ayurvedic practitioner can determine:
The original mental and physical constitution of the client and their Doshas
Any imbalance in the Doshas
The movement and state of the Doshas.
The movement of the sub-Doshas.
The strength of Agni (digestive fire, metabolic activity).
The movement of toxins and the existence of any tissue degeneration
Any abnormal mental or physical activity
Tongue diagnosis - In Ayurvedic Medicine the tongue is more than just an organ of speech and taste, it is a diagnostic tool for providing information on the state of our health. The tongue is a direct reflection of our internal environment and it serves as a window into how well you are digesting your food, and if any toxins are accumulating.
Medical history - You will be asked questions to help us understand your symptoms, lifestyle and health goals. Together you will create a treatment plan, which could include, but are not limited to, Ayurvedic treatments, detoxification, spiritual guidance, emotional healing and / or herbal supplements.
